Creating a Good Email Signature
Your email signature with a school email account should provide basic information about yourself, the sender. It is improper to use it as an opportunity to express points of view (save that for your personal email account). Your school email account is one that should always be used in a mature and professional way. Here are tips to create an email signature that is professional, informative and easy to read. Who Uses Google Apps?
Over 4 million businesses and 40 million users use Google Apps (see the complete list) on a daily basis. Forrestville Valley School District as of October 12, 2011 through Google is providing storage of ~42 gigabytes of staff email data in a secure location, but has been given the capacity to store, for all students grades 6-12 and staff, ~13.5 terabytes (1 terabyte = 1000 gigabytes) of data. To purchase a 13.5 terabyte mail server system, make it secure and make it reliable, would be severely cost prohibitive.In education, some of the premier institutions have made the switch to Google Apps for Education. Migration to Gmail Complete
Over this past weekend, over 548,000 emails, over 16,000 calendar events and over 11,000 contacts were migrated from our old Exchange 2003 server to Google. The process almost twenty hours to complete. Thank you for the patience with this whole process.
